Dr. Bridghid McMonagle, a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and graduate of Bastyr University (2005), has over 20 years of experience in functional and regenerative medicine.
She specializes in the intricate relationship between hormone health and gut function, helping both men and women restore balance to their bodies through personalized treatment plans.
Dr. McMonagle is committed to optimizing hormone function, improving digestive health, and enhancing overall vitality. She completed a residency at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), where she worked in rotations at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), gaining expertise in dermatology, gastroenterology, women’s health, and emergency care. Her unique training allows her to offer holistic and evidence-based treatments that address chronic fatigue, digestive imbalances, hormone dysfunction, and skin health.
Dr. McMonagle is also a leading expert in medical ozone therapies, including High Dose Ozone, Prolozone, and PRP treatments, offering comprehensive care for a range of health concerns, including skin rejuvenation, joint health, and immune system support. She is the first Certified Ozone Practitioner in Oregon and incorporates ozone therapy into many of her treatments to optimize cellular function, reduce inflammation, and enhance detoxification.
Certified in Bioidentical Hormones, Low T treatments, IV therapy, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, Dr. McMonagle deeply understands how lifestyle, diet, and therapeutic interventions can work together to support each body system.
With advanced training from renowned experts like Dr. Frank Shallenberger, Dr. Robert Rowen, and Dr. Howard Robbins, Dr. McMonagle provides some of the most cutting-edge treatments available, offering solutions for patients with hormone imbalances, digestive concerns, chronic fatigue, and more. She lectures both nationally and internationally on ozone therapy, PRP, and functional medicine topics.
Dr. McMonagle’s clinical practice in Lake Oswego is rooted in her belief in the power of functional medicine to prevent disease and restore health. She has been guiding patients toward healthier, more fulfilling lives since 2006, combining conventional and alternative approaches to address the root causes of imbalance in the body.
Prior to medical school, Dr. McMonagle earned her degree in Environmental Health from the University of Washington and spent over two years with the Peace Corps in Thailand, where she was introduced to herbal medicine and sustainable health practices. This experience inspired her to pursue a career in naturopathic medicine.
Dr. McMonagle is a proud member of several professional organizations, including the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), and the American Academy of Ozonotherapy (AAOT).
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. McMonagle enjoys traveling, tennis, soccer, and staying active in the outdoors. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve balance, thrive in their daily lives, and prevent future health challenges.
Dr. Valeria Manning, Naturopathic Physician (N.D.), MSCP
Dr. Valeria Manning earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in 2017. Following her graduation, she completed a residency focused on integrative women’s health, hormone management, and pediatrics.
In 2024, she continued the advanced menopause training she had received during her residency with Dr. Tori Hudson and obtained national accreditation as a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner.
Dr. Manning is dedicated to identifying and treating the root causes of disease, which is one of the foundational philosophies of naturopathic medicine. She also educates her patients on strategies for preventing chronic diseases, placing a strong emphasis on nutrition, stress management, and mental health.
Dr. Manning’s naturopathic approach enables her to utilize the most effective therapies from both conventional and alternative medicine, creating a personalized plan that considers the unique needs of each patient.
Dr. Manning is of Argentine and Uruguayan descent, the daughter of immigrants who instilled in her a deep appreciation for her Latin roots. She serves on the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) committee for the Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OANP) and is the founding president of Oregon’s Latino Provider Association. Additionally, she is fluent in Spanish.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Manning enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, who is also a naturopathic doctor, and their two young daughters.
Dr. Vira Kuznyuk, Naturopathic Physician (N.D.)
Dr. Vira Kuznyuk is a highly skilled and compassionate naturopathic doctor deeply committed to helping individuals achieve optimal health and wellness. With a strong passion for holistic medicine, she takes a patient-centered approach to healing, emphasizing the body’s natural ability to restore balance and health. Born and raised in Ukraine, Dr. Kuznyuk grew up in an environment where natural remedies and holistic approaches to health were an integral part of everyday life. This cultural foundation shaped her belief in the body’s innate capacity to heal itself, an outlook that continues to inform her professional practice today.
Dr. Kuznyuk earned her graduate degree in biology from the University of Washington where she laid the groundwork for a deep understanding of the human body and its functions. Her desire to further her knowledge of natural health solutions led her to complete her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. Her approach to healthcare is grounded in the principles of holistic care, which focuses on treating the whole person rather than just the symptoms of illness. Dr. Kuznyuk incorporates a variety of evidence-based practices in her treatments, including personalized lifestyle changes, nutrition counseling, exercise recommendations, herbal medicine, and homeopathy. By addressing both the physical and emotional aspects of health, she works to promote long-lasting healing and vitality for her patients.
In addition to her work as a naturopathic doctor, Dr. Kuznyuk values maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle herself. Outside of her professional practice, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and paddle boarding, which allow her to stay connected to nature and inspiration.

Ghazaleh Louie (Resident)
Resident Doctor Ghazaleh (Gigi) Louie, grew up in Iran, where she was immersed in a culture that deeply respected the body’s natural healing mechanisms and the power of holistic approaches to health and beauty. This upbringing instilled in her a profound appreciation for the mind, body, and spirit, and shaped her passion for empowering individuals to achieve optimal well-being through natural means.
Gigi earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine, where she delved into the science behind natural healing modalities and developed a comprehensive understanding of the human body’s innate capacity for restoration. Her educational journey also included extensive training in IV therapies which is a powerful tool for addressing a wide range of health concerns.
Prior to her medical training, Gigi earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in the University of Oregon. Concurrently, she served as a caregiver, closely assisting individuals navigating diverse challenges. This experience deepened her empathy and understanding of the human condition, further fueling her dedication to fostering holistic healing and empowering individuals to reclaim their health and vitality.
Beyond her clinical practice, Gigi is an avid advocate for holistic health and beauty. She is passionate about inspiring others to embrace healthy habits, nurture their inner beauty, and cultivate a sense of happiness and fulfillment. When not immersed in the world of natural medicine, Gigi finds joy exploring the vibrant landscapes of Oregon, experimenting with delicious and health-conscious food, and cherishing quality time with her spouse, parents, and friends.
Laura Matthews, Office Manager
Laura Matthews obtained her Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from St Joseph’s University in 2019. She minored in leadership and bioethics which she practices daily in the care of our patients.
Before joining LOHC, Laura was an operations leader, recruiter, college educator, certified medical assistant, and national test writer for medical assistant credentialing bodies. She brings over 20 years of patient care experience to our clinic with expertise in business best practices and financial management. As our office manager, she is eager to ensure each patient has a safe, high-quality experience from start to finish.
Laura has traveled extensively and has a deep appreciation for people from any and all backgrounds. She has been a witness to the power of holistic healing and using personalized treatment plans to achieve relief and regain physical/emotional function. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, and painting.
Britney, Medical Assistant, IV Technician
Britney was born in Paradise California and was raised here in the Portland area. After graduating from high school, she started her career path in the medical field and graduated from Cambridge Junior College in Yuba City, CA for Medical Assisting in 2018. Since 2018 she has been trained and certified as an IV technician.
She enjoys spending her free time with family and exploring the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest with friends. Britney has always had an interest in alternative medicines and the holistic approach to healthcare.
Erika Rivera, Medical Assistant, IV Technician
Erika Rivera, MA hails from Bogota, Columbia and has lived in many parts of the United States and World. Erika graduated from University of Alaska Fairbanks in the 2017 Medical Assisting Program. She developed her talent and skill for patient care, phlebotomy and IV procedures while in Alaska and continued her career at OHSU and LOHC here in Portland, OR.
Erika can be found exploring the outdoors with her husband and German Shepard or cooking delicious healthy dishes that the entire LOHC team loves.
Melanie Schafer, Licensed Esthetician, Certified Reiki Master
With over 20 years of experience in the field of aesthetics, Melanie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our Naturopathic office. Her journey began with a strong passion for helping people achieve deep relaxation and healthy radiant skin. Over the years, she has honed her skills through continuous education, working at high end spas in Las Vegas and cultivating a hands-on practice, making her knowledgeable in a wide range of skincare treatments and modalities.
Melanie holds a license in aesthetics and is a certified Reiki practitioner. She integrates energy work into her skincare treatments, offering a unique blend of physical and energetic healing. This dual approach not only addresses the outer appearance but also promotes inner balance and well-being, helping clients achieve a glowing complexion that reflects their overall health.
Melanie’s philosophy centers around personalized care. She believes that every client’s skin is unique and deserves a tailored treatment plan that considers specific needs and lifestyle. Her Gentle, compassionate demeanor ensures that clients feel comfortable and care for during each visit.
Wesley Yazgoor, Patient Coordinator
Wesley Yazgoor was born in South Florida before moving to the West Coast in 2017, where she spent some time in Northern California before settling in the Portland area in 2020. Her passion for wellness has been a lifelong pursuit, with a deep-rooted interest in helping others improve their health through natural and holistic approaches, including diet, exercise, supplements, and lifestyle changes. Wesley firmly believes in the body’s innate ability to heal itself, and this philosophy fuels her dedication to supporting others on their path to wellness.
Her holistic mindset drives her to take a well-rounded approach to health, encourage to embrace a balanced lifestyle that includes proper nutrition, mindful movement, and self-care. Wesley’s commitment to promoting overall well-being is rooted in the belief that the body, when given the right support, can restore its natural harmony. She enjoys building meaningful connections with patients and working closely with the skilled staff at LOHC to coordinate personalized care plans that help each individual become the healthiest version of themselves.
In her free time, Wesley loves to travel, explore new recipes, pick up new holistic crafts, and spend quality time at home with her family and two beloved pets. She finds joy in creating a well-balanced life that nurtures her mind, body, and spirit.
