Dr. Bridghid McMonagle, Naturopathic Physician (N.D.), FAAO, APT

Dr. Bridghid McMonagle graduated from Bastyr University in 2005 and completed a residency at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) where she performed rotations at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) involving dermatology,  gastroenterology, women’s health, and emergency care. Dr. McMonagle is a leading expert in the medical uses of ozone.  This includes Ozone therapies such as High dose ozone (known as 10 pass), Prolozone, Cosmetic ozone, Major and Minor Autohemotherapy. She is trained and certified in Cosmetic PRP with PPP filler and joint PRP treatments, Neural therapy, IV therapies, heavy metal chelation, bio identical hormone management, autoimmune disease care, Wilson protocol and PK Protocol. She has a passion for learning the latest in medical research to provide viable options to improve your health and wellness.

Dr. McMonagle was the first certified ozone practitioner in Oregon. She has trained with Dr. Frank Shallenberger, Dr. Robert Rowen, Dr. Howard Robbins, Dr. Adrianna Schwartz, Dr. Lohadny and many more. Our clinic offers the most extensive options in ozone therapies that we know of in Oregon.

Dr. McMonagle has lectured extensively in the U.S. and internationally on topics such as medical ozone therapies for chronic fatigue & autoimmune concerns, ozone for skin rejuvenation, platelet rich plasma (PRP) to improve joint, hair, and skin health.

She has been practicing in Lake Oswego since 2006 and sees patients of all ages. She enjoys motivating individuals to improve their health.

She is a member of American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM), The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM), American Academy of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), American Academy of Ozone Therapy (AAOT), North American Academy of Neural Therapy (NAANT), Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) and Personalized Lifestyle Medical Institute (PLMI).

Prior to medical school, Dr. McMonagle finished her undergraduate at the University of Washington in Environmental Health with a minor in chemistry. She then completed over 2 years in the Peace Corps in Thailand teaching environmental medicine. During this time period, she became fascinated with herbal medicine and various treatment options which inspired her to pursue naturopathic medicine.

Dr. McMonagle feels very fortunate to practice functional and regenerative medicine, and has witnessed tremendous results through blending holistic and western medicine. She enjoys traveling, soccer, and staying active in the outdoors.

Dr. Valeria Manning, Naturopathic Physician (N.D.)

Dr. Valeria Manning is a naturopathic physician that specializes in integrative primary care, treating men and women of all ages.

As a diagnostician, Valeria prides herself in identifying and treating the root cause of disease- one of the foundational philosophies of naturopathic medicine. She also teaches her patients strategies for preventing chronic disease with a strong emphasis on nutrition and stress management.

Integrative medicine allows her to use the most powerful therapies from both the conventional and alternative models of medicine, forming an individualized plan that takes into account the unique needs of each patient.

She graduated from National University of Natural Medicine and received her undergraduate degree in Biology at University of California, San Diego.

Valeria is of Argentine and Uruguayan descent, daughter to immigrants who taught her to celebrate and appreciate her Latin roots. She also serves on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee for the Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OANP).

Outside the clinic, Valeria enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their two toddler girls.

Dr. Mackenzie Clark, Naturopathic Physician (N.D.)

Dr. Mackenzie Clark grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and from an early age knew that she was destined to be a helper and healer. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences as well as a minor in Women’s Studies from Lyman Briggs College of Michigan State University. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Clark worked in the medical field as a direct care provider and as a phlebotomist. She has extensive phlebotomy experience with pediatric and oncologic populations. Dr. Clark graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) and completed a residency at a busy Naturopathic practice in downtown Portland.

Dr. Clark has extensive training in the safe and effective uses of medical cannabis.  She is passionate about practicing integrative primary care that aims to discover the root cause. She strives to always meet each person where they’re at in their unique healing journey and has a particular passion for helping patients combat burnout and fatigue.

In her free time, Dr. Clark enjoys spending time with her partner and dog. She tends to many houseplants and recently started growing vegetables in a backyard greenhouse.

Dr. Ghazaleh Louie (Resident Doctor)

Resident Doctor Ghazaleh (Gigi) Louie grew up in Iran, where she was immersed in a culture that deeply respected the body’s natural healing mechanisms and the power of holistic approaches to health and beauty. This upbringing instilled in her a profound appreciation for the mind, body, and spirit, and shaped her passion for empowering individuals to achieve optimal well-being through natural means.

Dr. Louie earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine, where she delved into the science behind natural healing modalities and developed a comprehensive understanding of the human body’s innate capacity for restoration. Her educational journey also included extensive training in IV therapies which is a powerful tool for addressing a wide range of health concerns.

Prior to her medical training, Dr. Louie earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in the University of Oregon.  Concurrently, she served as a caregiver, closely assisting individuals navigating diverse challenges. This experience deepened her empathy and understanding of the human condition, further fueling her dedication to fostering holistic healing and empowering individuals to reclaim their health and vitality.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Louie is an avid advocate for holistic health and beauty. She is passionate about inspiring others to embrace healthy habits, nurture their inner beauty, and cultivate a sense of happiness and fulfillment. When not immersed in the world of natural medicine, she finds joy exploring the vibrant landscapes of Oregon, experimenting with delicious and health-conscious food, and cherishing quality time with her spouse, parents, and friends.

Avery Brobeck, Nutritionist

LOHC Nutritionist Avery BrobeckOriginally from Southern Oregon, Avery began her career by obtaining her bachelor’s in exercise science from Pacific University. During her time at Pacific, Avery found a deep calling for nutrition. This led her to attend the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in pursuit of a master’s degree in nutritional science.

While studying at NUNM, Avery became well versed in using food as medicine and was able to be a part of clinical nutrition rotations at the NUNM health center. She was also able to serve as the track team nutritionist at Oregon Episcopal School.

As a clinical nutritionist, Avery firmly believes in providing quality care by taking the science of nutrition and skillfully applying it into the lives of her patients – no matter where they are in their health journey. She aims to help others find a love and appreciation for food in its purest form.

In her free time, Avery and her husband like to spend as much time outdoors as they can. She can also be seen carrying a kindle around as if it’s an extension of her body.

Laura Matthews, Office Manager

Laura Matthews obtained her Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from St Joseph’s University in 2019. She minored in leadership and bioethics which she practices daily in the care of our patients.

Before joining LOHC, Laura was an educator, medical assistant, and national test writer for medical assistant credentialing bodies. She brings 20 years of patient care experience to our clinic with expertise in operational best practices and business management. As our office manager, she is eager to ensure each patient has a safe, high-quality experience from start to finish.

Laura has traveled extensively and has a deep appreciation for people from any and all backgrounds. She has been a witness to the power of holistic healing and using personalized treatment plans to achieve relief and regain physical/emotional function. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, and painting.

Britney, IV Technician

Britney was born in Paradise California and was raised here in the Portland area.  After graduating from high school, she started her career path in the medical field and graduated from Cambridge Junior College in Yuba City, CA for Medical Assisting in 2018.  Since 2018 she has been trained and certified as an IV technician.

She enjoys spending her free time with family and exploring the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest with friends.  Britney has always had an interest in alternative medicines and the holistic approach to healthcare.

Dana, Clinic Operations

Dana is an Oregon native who has lived in the Portland area most of her life. She has two beautiful daughters who keep her busy running to and from sports and other activities. Dana is also an artist and enjoys painting in her free time

Before joining our team, Dana was a patient of Dr. McMonagle’s. She had a long history of chronic illness and extreme fatigue. For many years she was undiagnosed and very ill. At her first appointment, with coverage from her insurance, we were able to run several lab tests. Based on those results and a thorough history, we created a new treatment plan for her. This included our highly sought after Ozone treatments. Ozone was life changing for her. She began to regain energy, mental clarity and function after her first treatment. She is forever grateful for the team at Lake Oswego Health Center for restoring her health and giving her the opportunity for a normal life again.

Dana is very excited to join us here at Lake Oswego Health Center. She has a passion for helping people and is excited to get to know all of our wonderful patients.

Jessica, Clinic Assistant

Jessica was born and raised in Tigard, Oregon. She started her career in healthcare at 23, while working as an in-home caregiver. After that, she started working for a major local hospital as a Compliance Specialist. Jessica has a passion for helping others and is very excited for the opportunity to join Lake Oswego Health Center.

Jessica is the mother of two young daughters. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors with her daughters and husband. You can also find Jessica on the sideline coaching youth cheerleaders in Sherwood, Oregon.

Erika Rivera, Medical Assistant

Erika Rivera, MA hails from Bogota, Columbia and has lived in many parts of the United States and World. Erika graduated from University of Alaska Fairbanks in the 2017 Medical Assisting Program. She developed her talent and skill for patient care, phlebotomy and IV procedures while in Alaska and continued her career at OHSU and LOHC here in Portland, OR.

Erika can be found exploring the outdoors with her husband and German Shepard or cooking delicious healthy dishes that the entire LOHC team loves.
