A Far-infrared (FIR) sauna offers all the health benefits of traditional saunas and is generally more comfortable and efficient. While an FIR sauna uses light to heat the body directly instead of warming the air around you, traditional saunas use heat to warm the air, which then warms your body. In an FIR sauna, about 20% of the heat goes to heating the air, while the other 80% heats your body, which means that the heat is more targeted and the temperatures are typically lower.
